A brief interlude.
Gloomy weather days, and lack of sleep, so I’ve been out the door a little earlier than usual to take my time and try and see. These are in no particular order and without the usual commentary. Just a few things seen on my morning walk before my work day begins.
Courthouse reflections:
Buildings that have no reason to be so tall:
My favorite breezeway:
The church:
A house built in 1812, now HQ for a railroad:
Leaves and fallen crape mrytle blossoms swirl around a covered entryway:
I love it when trees make that archway over streets like this:
Second floor is still sleeping:
Before the patrons arrive:
Plant in the window:
Parking garage stairs:
I am a sucker for crosswalks in the frame:
Early voting is underway:
The bunting still up from the 4th:
Damp alleyways:
Peeking into an unused building that once was a hotel where Hank Williams spent his last night:
Intrigued by this empty room, feeling a little like Alice in an urban wonderland:
Hug your loved ones extra tight tonight. Call your friends. Send that text. Don’t let anyone in your life have to wonder how much they mean to you. 🩶

Your photo mornings are pretty interesting; maybe it's partly because I've come to the conclusion the photos convey how you feel to a certain extent. There are of course themes and patterns you return to because you like them visually, but I see some gloominess that's not just in the weather. I could be wrong about it, but I know you'd tell me if that's the case. Some photos I particularly liked: the court house reflections, the 1812 house that's become a railway HQ, and the very mysterious, maybe even spooky, the hotel room where Hank Williams spent his last night. That photo freaks me out!
I particularly liked the archways and stairs — fav subjects of mine. 😉 An enjoyable look at your commute!
